Obituary: Jack Arthur Anderson – Door County Pulse – Model Slux

Jack Arthur Anderson, 91, of the City of Sevastopol (previously of Gills Rock), died peacefully within the consolation of his house Tuesday night, Could 6, 2025 with household at his facet.

He was born June 25, 1933 in Cary, Illinois, the son of Edward G. Anderson and Rose M. (Homola) Anderson. Jack graduated from Crystal Lake Group Excessive Faculty in Illinois with the category of 1951. He went on to review training at Northern Illinois College in DeKalb, Illinois.

Jack grew to become a widely known and revered artist throughout the Door County artwork neighborhood. He appreciated his friendships with fellow Door County artists, Charles “Chick” Peterson, Karsten Topelmann, and James Ingwersen, amongst others. Jack was a member of the Door County Artwork League and served on the Acquisitions Committee for the Miller Artwork Museum in Sturgeon Bay. He additionally served on the board for the Door County Humane Society (now the Wisconsin Humane Society – Door County Campus). Jack can be missed by his spouse, Sue, with whom he was blessed to share almost 60 years of marriage; (fraternal twin) sister, Geraldine Burhop of Cary; sister-in-law, Carol (Jim) Mullaney of Sister Bay; nieces and nephews; different family; and pals.

He was preceded in dying by his mother and father; three brothers and two sisters; and different family.

No public companies are scheduled to be held, per Jack’s request.
